How to get a fishing rod in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Nintendo's latest animal crossing game: New Horizons, you are planted on a deserted island. This island is the home to many fantastical creatures, including fish and you may want to catch them. This is how. #howtogeta_inacnh

When you first land on your island you will see Tom Nook's Tent. Inside you will be able to view a series of tools that you can purchase, among which is the fishing rod. You can buy this at the price of 400 bells. But, if you are short of bells or not willing to do that yet there is another solution.

If you are not willing to purchase the "flimsy fishing rod" you will still be able to get one. By the second day Tom Nook will offer you a workshop. When you do that you will be given the recipe for a fishing rod.

With both ways, you can get fishing in no time!
